Description
Original Fine Art Photography and digital artwork by Donna Kennedy...
Thanks to a deep snowpack in the high Sierras the falls, rivers and creeks were rushing in Yosemite National Park back in May 2010 when I took this photo. I doubt they are today with a drought California has been in for the past five years. Hopefully this winter will bring a heavy snowfall..
Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra. First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and so much more. 3.7 million visitors come to Yosemite each year.

So beautifully created! The extended exposure making this more a painting than a reflection, art!

Beautiful capture and treatment of the rushing water and landscape, Donna. Love to hear the sound of water moving over the rocks. l/fv/tw/g+

I marvel at photography's ability to manipulate time; both in the frozen moment of the existential moment and the ability to stretch time into an active exploration of probability. You have done the latter so well here. Bravo!
