As I followed the creek into the forest I came upon this beautiful spot, I liked the grove of Aspens leaning to the water, a wonderful and peaceful walk. I will be back when the winter snow melts, this creek should have a rapid flow. 520423
Duck Creek Village in Kane County Utah is located at the edge of a large meadow of Cedar Mountain in the Dixie National Forest, off of Scenic Hwy. 14. At an elevation of approximately 8,507 feet you can enjoy all four seasons. When driving please be aware of abundant deer and wildlife :)
The truly spectacular scenery of this area makes it a popular location for movie and television filming. In the 1940’s, Elizabeth Taylor called the village home on several occasions while filming Drums Along the Mohawk and National Velvet in the area. Later, Duck Creek Village was featured on the television shows "How the West Was Won" and "Daniel Boone”.
