Fine Art Photography and Digital Artwork by Donna Kennedy…
Elvis standing in front of a convertible Chrysler Imperial, 1957. Although Elvis’s cars were kept in pristine condition, they were often defaced by his female fans, who were so desperate to meet him that they wrote their telephone numbers and messages in lipstick all over the paint work.
Elvis' second movie and his first in color was the 1957 Paramount film 'Loving You’. The movie premiered in Memphis on July 10, 1957 at the Strand Theater. Elvis didn't go to that showing. Instead, he took his date Anita Wood and his parents to a private midnight screening. The film opened nationally on July 30, 1957 and peaked at #7 on the Varierty National Box Office Survey.
