On a cold February morning I was out train chasing, but spotted this man fly fishing down below on the Truckee River. Snow and ice were on the East side of the river so I was not able to hike down the steep slope. Glad I had my 400mm lens on. Near the Nevada/California state line. 620
Fly fishing is an angling method that uses a light-weight lure-called an artificial fly-to catch fish. The fly is cast using a fly rod, reel, and specialized weighted line. The light weight requires casting techniques significantly different from other forms of casting.
