Orange Globe Mallow (Sphaeralcea munroana)
In spring a flush of colorful flowers are produced that will cause people to stop in their tracks. After that, globe mallow will bloom off and on throughout the summer and fall. A xeric perennial native to the Great Basin of the Western US, this rugged plant thrives in the most challenging hot, sunny dry garden conditions. A drought resistant/drought tolerant plant.
Although most globe mallow plants produce orange flowers, they also are in other colors including pink, purple, white, red and shades in between.

You sure know how to get the light just right! It is stunning and the dark background is awesome and the buds serve as a middle ground. Excellent!
