This was the beautiful grape sculptured fountain at the Red Cedar Vineyards, on Highway 41 near Shandon, California. In the beginning purple water ran in the fountain, then clear and finally during severe drought it was turned off. Red Cedar Vineyard is just east of Paso Robles. The vineyard is 1,400 acres and supports over 20 varieties of wine grapes. You can take a tour of the vineyard, which includes the historic Adobe home that was built in the mid-1840s. I photographed this fountain in 2013, and read that the fountain was taken down and dismantled in 2018.
