The Jersey is a British breed of small dairy cattle from Jersey, in the Channel Islands. It is highly productive – cows may give over ten times their own weight in milk per lactation; the milk is high in butterfat and has a characteristic yellowish tinge. They are raised primarily for milk production, and is also noted for easy calving. The calf is relatively small in size when they are born. They grow relatively faster and contain low fat in their body.
Their body color is usually slightly red, deep brown or mixed. They have relatively long sized head, and they usually have no hunchback.
